Alexander Cortelyou Simonson (Alec) was an avid computer enthusiast since 1985 when he first began using the Macintosh 512K Enhanced.In 1994 he left Purdue University to work for Power Consulting Group in New York. Shortly after, he left to work for Vyne Communications, one of the first web design firms in New York City. Subsequently, he left Vyne to join Sharknet as a Lead Designer, then Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP as a Data Operations Specialist, AT&T as a Systems Administrator Consultant, Spier NY as the Interactive Production Manager, and then Digitas as a Senior Technology Analyst. He was promoted to Technology Manager in June 2000 and then left the company in September 2001.
In 2002 he joined MultiPlan as a Business Analyst, and is presently serving at Scholastic, Inc. in the same capacity.
Throughout his career, Alec has serviced many large clients such as Scientific American, Portugal, The Oncology Nursing Society, American Express, Morgan Stanley, Wolters Kluwer, the NBA and many more. He currently resides in Brooklyn, NY where he is engaged in several freelance projects. His hobbies also include photography and pistol shooting.
